MacInspires Intermediate 3D Design Enrollment will take students’ TinkerCAD
chops to the next level! Experience and learn about moveable parts, print-in-place, engineering and aesthetics – all important topics for a creations’ functionality, beauty, and style.
Print-in-place is a unique and challenging 3D design technique that allows a single print to have moving parts (instead of putting multiple printed parts together for movement). Students will also learn about 3D printing’s role with prototyping in the context of today’s job market. Each class conceive, design, and receive 3D printed products, solutions, or components to take home and show off!
Project Ideas: toys with moving parts, gift box with hinged lid and locking mechanism, model house with functional doors and windows or automatons
